Arne Jacobsen was known as an architect who created total design when designing buildings.
In 1971, Arne Jacobsen designed the Danish National Bank in Copenhagen. For the beautiful marble-clad building, Arne Jacobsen designed the Bankers clock.
The design was modern for its time—and still is. The grey matte surface of the clock is a tribute to Arne Jacobsen’s favourite material, the grey marble that the Danish National Bank is clad in.
The orange details are a modern interpretation of the red dot.
