Guardsman with flag – 108 cm

This unique Welcome Guardsman with flag in the well-known red, blue and white colours is, like all the famous Kay Bojesen guardsmen, inspired by one of Denmark’s greatest national symbols from Amalienborg Palace Square.
Kay Bojesen first created the guardsmen in 1940 to mark King Christian X’s 70th birthday – as a tribute to the Danish king.

Archive photos from the late 1940s show that the original guardsman was equipped with a rifle – but in this festive version it has been replaced with a flag, which is easy to attach.
